Black Sands Hold

Colors: Black and Gold
Lord/Lady: Lord Peregrine(NPC)

Description: Located not too far from the Weyr herself, Black Sands Hold is in a small and lush valley, with a moat about the Hold Proper, the only one of the Big Four to possess this feature. Made of the same gold-veined black stone as the Weyr, Black Sands is run with a fair hand by its Lord, and houses the Miner and Gem Crafthalls for the area. Ocassionally Watch-Wher clutches come from this Hold as well, as its Guardian is a Ruby female.

Sun Ridge Hold

Colors: Gray and Orange
Lord/Lady: Lady Jale(NPC)
Tithes: Wines and Wooden Goods
Description: Sun Ridge is the furthest from the Weyr, though not by much, and is built of soft golden tan stone,veined with copper that gives it a greenish cast in the right light. It is also the largest of the Big Four, with land that crosses many hundreds of acres. Most of this is dotted with grape vines in three colors, purple, red and green/white, and is usually bustling with people tending the precious and delicate crop. Off to the North is a large Wood from which the Carpenters and Lumberjacks get their wood.

White Plains Hold

Colors: White and Green
Lord/Lady: Lord Tanner and Lady Geneva(NPCs)
Tithes: Beasts, Foodstuffs and Grains
Description: The open plains of this Hold are constantly covered in an odd, though not harmful, white powdery substance that seems to speed up and enhance the growth of the plants upon which the herdbeasts and runners feed. It also seems to encourage the growth of the grains and fruits for which the Hold is known. The Beasthall and Gardners' Hall is here.

Dark Ice Hold

Colors: Navy and Aqua
Lord/Lady: Lord Tyruan(NPC)
Tithes: Fish, Corals, Seaweeds
Description: This Coastal Hold is the smallest of the Big Four, and is located almost directly on the beach, with several docks leading out into the water. More than a few fishing boats can be found tied to these Docks, and the furthest out look like they are used for actual shipping to the Northern Continent. Shipfish can be found around this Hold as well, and the Dolphineers' Hall and Fishers' Hall can be found here.
